{baby dedication}

Last weekend I had the privilege of photographing a group baby dedication.  So amazing to get to be there as these sweet families celebrated and dedicated these long awaited babies.  These are just a glimpse at the families who were there. :)

{little miss sparkles turns 2!}

Well, this little bit has been the star of this photography blog this last year! Sometimes it's hard to be creative when your heart is sad and grieving - and mine definitely was after losing my mom last October, so photo shoots didn't happen as much. But this tea party shoot was probably one of my favorite ones I've done yet! Planning it out was good for my heart and I will be using the set again sometime soon! And little miss sparkles here definitely enjoyed it, which really was what mattered. :)  I'm not sure how she is ready to turn two already...I just did her one year pics the other day didn't I?! She is so so much fun, is learning new skills and words every time I see her, and makes me laugh all the time!

{little miss sparkles: summer mini session}

One of the beauties of having a season pass to the local zoo is it is the perfect spot for a mini photo shoot...so that's what we did last week...just cuz. :) Here are a few of my favs...

This one just cracks me up every time I look at it - she was NOT a fan of that long grass behind her that was tickling her back as she sat there! After this pic she just stared at me and said, "no..." ha!  So...we moved on to a different spot. :D 

{little miss sparkles: 1st birthday and Christmas}

Most people who have seen my blog know that I usually try not to post the real names of the littles in my life, just for safety reasons.  In a year of hard, this little girl has been a bright spot...thus her name follows after the theme of my three kiddos nicknames - Little Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Giggles, and Mr Happy.  

Meet

She just turned one last month and we did some surprise pictures for my friend/her mama.

She is always happy, makes me laugh, can roar like a lion, loves bananas, loves music, does not love wearing socks (I don't blame her...neither do I!), tolerates me putting pig tails in her hair, and is apparently a true southerner with quite the accent on her "bye bye"!

Next it was time for some Christmas pics. I did Santa baby pics just last Christma...wait...ok so it was really eleven years ago (!!) when my Mr. Happy was about a year old...and I haven't used the hat and boots since...but it was time....

Apparently she had just told me a secret.... 😊

Little Miss Sparkles, I'm so thankful for your little life! God has great plans for you and you have a mama and a papa who will always remind you of who you are in Him.
