{little miss sparkles turns 2!}

Well, this little bit has been the star of this photography blog this last year! Sometimes it's hard to be creative when your heart is sad and grieving - and mine definitely was after losing my mom last October, so photo shoots didn't happen as much. But this tea party shoot was probably one of my favorite ones I've done yet! Planning it out was good for my heart and I will be using the set again sometime soon! And little miss sparkles here definitely enjoyed it, which really was what mattered. :)  I'm not sure how she is ready to turn two already...I just did her one year pics the other day didn't I?! She is so so much fun, is learning new skills and words every time I see her, and makes me laugh all the time!

I have watched this little pipsqueak grow over the years from the time she was a baby...to the time I potty trained her (Sorry, Claire...that's just always gonna go with the story of you and me pretty much for forever...! 😂)...to so many summers at camp...to now getting to take her senior pictures and watching her getting ready to graduate from high school in the spring!

Clairebear, I will always love the memories of little you, but I love hanging out with this gorgeous grown up girl who God is going to continue to refine into the passionate, strong, warrior for Christ that He has created you to be! I can't believe you're graduating but I can't wait to see what all He has in store for you! I will always be here if you ever need me...and if you happen to decide to choose a certain college...you know there's an Africa room waiting for you if you'd like it!  😉

{keira turns 1!} (surprise mommy!) :)

Yesterday, while my best friend was at work all day, I stole her youngest for a few minutes to do a birthday photo shoot as a surprise.  I'm not sure if it was an actual surprise since her other son and daughter knew what I was up to...  :}  The UT Gardens where we went, sadly had construction going on and had torn down several of my favorite spots so we had an abbreviated photo session, but it still turned out pretty cute I think...
